Information We Receive From Others
Users may provide information about you as they use our services, for instance as they interact with you.
If you connect your Facebook, Google, or other third-party accounts to log into your Tango account, we use information from those accounts (such as name and email address) to improve your Tango experience. This is dependent on the privacy policies or settings for those accounts.
We get technical information generated when you use Tango
Log data: When you use Tango, our servers record information about your activity (i.e. when you logged in, features you’ve been using, actions taken, and your interactions with other users).
Device information. In addition to log data, we collect information about the device(s) you use to access our services. This includes hardware and software information such as IP address, type of device, operating system, settings, unique device identifiers, and crash data that help us understand when something breaks.
Clickstream data and inferences. When you’re using Tango, we use your activity, such as events you attend and users you interact with to make inferences about you and your preferences. For example, if you attend a hiking event, we may infer you are interested in outdoor activities.
Data Use and Sharing
We’re committed to providing experiences that are relevant, safe, and personalized to you. To do that, we use your information to:
Create and manage your account
Connect you with other uses.

Communicate with you about events, activities or people you might be interested in.
Respond to your questions, comments, or customer service requests
Conduct analytics and research on how users use our services to develop and improve on them. For example, by logging how often people use a certain feature on Tango, we can understand if it’s useful.
Find and address ongoing, suspected, or alleged violations of our Terms
Comply with legal requirements and work with law enforcement to keep Tango safe
Review your messages on Tango to detect activity that poses a risk to the safety of you, our community and/or members of the public.
Advertise Tango affiliates to you on the app.
Send you updates (such as when you receive a new message on Tango or get invited to a new event) and news by email or push notifications, depending on your settings. You can decide to stop these notifications by updating your settings.
We have a legitimate reason for using your information in these ways. It’s fundamental to what we do at Tango and necessary in order to make Tango and its experiences relevant and personalized to you.
How and when we share information

Please be careful with your info and make sure you’re comfortable with the content you share being visible. If someone submits a report involving you (such as a claim that you violated our Terms), we may communicate to the reporter actions, if any, we took as a result of their report.

With your consent or at your request: We may ask for your consent to share your information with third parties. In any such case, we will make it clear why we want to share the information.
How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information only as long as we need it for legitimate business purposes and as permitted by applicable law. If you decide to stop using Tango, you can close your account and your profile will no longer be visible to other users. After your account is closed, we will delete your personal information, as detailed below:
When you choose to delete your profile on the app, account deletion is initiated and you will lose access to your account and all its data. We may hold onto your data for a retention period of 30 days. After 30 days, your profile information, chats, and event history will be permanently deleted.
